How a laboratory consulting engagement works
Free consultation to understand your lab, certificate type and deadlines.
Written scope of work and quote (sample scope).
Document and records review against the standards that apply to you.
Build or correct documents, train staff, and prepare for the survey.
Optional ongoing oversight.
What laboratory consulting costs
Pricing starts at $500 and varies with lab complexity and number of instruments. A waived-testing site needs far less work than a high-complexity lab with LDTs, and a scope of work spells out exactly what's included before any work starts.
Choosing a laboratory consulting firm: what to ask
Do your consultants work with my accrediting organization (CLIA, CAP, COLA or TJC) and my state's licensure rules?
Can you fill required CLIA personnel roles, or only advise?
Will I get editable SOPs and forms my staff can maintain?
How do you handle a 2567 or deficiency deadline?
Is the scope and price in writing before work begins?
